People
Redhill Church is a community of people. As ‘partners in the gospel’, all of us are called to serve and minister, each with a role to play in what God wants to do in our church, our town and the world.
For a glimpse of how we came to be a church in the first place, see this article via Church of Christ NSW/ACT.
Core Leadership
Our Redhill Church Core Leadership (elders) oversee the general direction and spiritual health of the church. Our Core Leadership are currently Brent and Jill Smith and Andrew and Candace Spencer. Between them they spend their days working in education, government, looking after their kids, creative pursuits, food-related activities, sports-watching and hanging with friends.
Ministry Leaders
These people oversee specific ministry areas in the church:
Brent Smith - Pastor
Brent is the pastor of Redhill Church. He graduated from Australian College of Ministries in 2002 and his work has included being the chaplain at Narrabundah College for eight years and Associate Pastor at LifeStream Christian Fellowship Wanniassa for seven years. His background also includes a bunch of youth ministry, lots of drumming, travel, hospitality work, drawing Garfield sketches and a particularly perilous period in his teens hanging off the back of a milk truck. Brent and his wife Jill live in Woden and have two young daughters.
Andrew Spencer - Treasurer
Andrew is our Treasurer, which means he makes sure our money gets to where it should so we can do the things we think we’re called to do. Andrew works in corporate management within the federal government and loves motor vehicles of the Ford variety, cycling, cracking witticisms and spending time with his wife Candace and two sons.
Other ministries
We currently have multiple people pitching in for worship, kids, youth, women, men and Sunday serving roster.
