Nanny/ Housekeeper Job
For Ali Boyce and family
I am looking for a nanny/housekeeper to assist our family.
Who we are:
A lovely, loud, busy household with 6 kids.
We have grief (from our dad/husband dying 12 months ago), 2 permanent foster kids with a history of trauma, and 2 kids with ADHD. We have lots of fun, lots of lovely play and sometimes challenging times.
I’m looking for someone who is patient, calm, friendly, flexible, good with kids, willing to work hard and have fun, and willing to learn how our house works (where things go, what kids need, how to support kids with their challenges etc)
Kids Ages:
4, 7, 10, 11, 13 and 13.
Hours:
Up to 20 hours per week.
Mostly afternoons between the hours 3:30pm and 8:30pm
Role outline:
General shifts (that are not Thursday afternoon- see below for Thursday):
Be home with all of us (I’d mostly be home too, there’s always lots to do so I need an extra adult to help). Tasks would vary but would be things like:
help with dinner prep,
bit of tidy up,
fold washing,
driving someone to an appointment if relevant,
help with homework,
help kids tidy up their things
play with kids
provide supervision of kids
sometimes look after everyone so I can go for a walk, or so I can do something with a kid 1:1 etc.
Thursday shifts (only 1 teen at home in the afternoon):
tidy house,
vacuum and mop floors and clean bathrooms,
lightly supervise the 13 year old
put dinner on (would be putting something from freezer into oven/ravioli or something easy)
Occasional:
Sometimes take someone to an appointment during the day if it’s mutually convenient.
Potentially help with getting everyone ready for school in the mornings sometimes.
Requirements and process:
The person would need a WWVP card and a police check, complete an interview and supply personal references (preferably from someone I know or a church pastor).
Preferred start date:
ASAP
